As an events professional
Audience experience always comes first. I think carefully about the event concept, then map that onto the journey that audiences will take, from start to finish. To me, whether an event is big or small, community-oriented or commercial, it can always have depth, it can always leave an impression. In the UK I have worked with the Edinburgh Fringe, Edinburgh Book Fest, Tate and Underbelly. In Shanghai, I founded and managed my own events agency in 2018, Elevate.
As a person
I’m a compulsive do-er, for better or for worse, with more passions than you can shake a stick at. I adore film, photography, cooking, music, exercise, literature, travel and a thousand other things. Most of all, though, I love people. Getting to know someone, sharing a laugh, and hearing their insights, is my favourite thing of all.
